| Things have progressed well on the Alien animation project adjunct to the imminent release of Bean Span's Predator Mod for Morrowind. Models used were inspired by Lithtech in Fox's most excellent AvP, AvP2 games. I'm a fan of this game, so
go buy it! Naturally I always play as an alien. I have taken artistic license on all the Xenomorphs in an effort to accommodate them best in Gamebryo game engines.
To get a good reference, models were imported to Milkshake After that the models were produced and the process of animation began.
Through the efforts of the Morrowind Modding community the understanding of animations within Morrowind has gained quickly. Pioneers like Dangleberry, Lady Eternity (only room to list a couple of MW's devoted fans) AND the development team of Bethesda Softworks
themselves, notably Maverique and MrSmileyFaceDude have allowed for the ultimate modding experience.
Which Xenomorphs?
The Drone, an elite fighting Drone, The Empress and the ever lovable facehuggers. | Here's Muddy-Toes, the hapless victim of these Aliens. Bear in mind, this Argonian is a test player, he's juked to 5000 hp, has (never more than) 100 skill credits and has never left the census office except for a brief visit to Ft Argonia
to appropriate some armor (kudos for the Ft Argonia Mod) and then back into the Census office for a save. I can't bring myself to take my Wolven character in there to be slaughtered. Argonians, be not offended, if I didn't have my wolven race I'd be an Argonian.
I know a trick which puts the drones to sleep, they never touched me but SHE DID!! Mind you, I have 5000 hp!!
She seemed decent enough at first and, being an Argonian I thought she was making some advances.
I was wrong.
All my manna gone and not even the appearance of the yellow health bar to suggest I was making headway.

You can see one of the tricked to sleep Drones over there by an egg cluster. It's a dark dungeon made for the hardened warrior with a nice reward if you can beat the Empress.
This dungeon is NOT designed for anything less powerful than a battle matured Predator. It does NOT have the beginning player in mind.
This project draws to an end. The face huggers will soon be fully implemented. I won't give anything more away to the detriment of the players of this Mod. If desired, more screenies can be provided of the Xenomorphs. Besides the facehuggers, there is one other animation I am quite proud of, it's a living weapon, one that I think will be much coveted.
| Artistic license was taken with all Xenomorphs. These are beta release animations which will not be finalized until the Mod goes GOLD and is released. Beta should be out within the next two to three weeks.
The final Mod introduces Playable Predators, with classes and factions and a quest system. Aliens are monsters and are not playable. No attempt was made to make them playable since an alien could never complete the quests of Morrowind.
Finally, my video card grows weak and the gamma of these photos have been adjusted up. Besides the fact it is a very dark dungeon, the images may appear washed out. For this I apologize..
